Which Ride On Cars Come With Parental Remote Control?

Which Ride On Cars Come With Parental Remote Control?

Now before we get into this article I'd like to be transparent and let you know that at RiiRoo THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR RIDE ON CARS come with parental remote control. However, we can't say the same for other ride-on car retailers.

So, before you buy a ride on car for your child take a look at some of the points we’re going to go through to make sure you buy the right car that has all the specifications that you deserve.

What you may not know is a retailer has to purchase the remote control separately. When the cars are manufactured they don't come with the remote controls as standard. Each individual retailer has to purchase and pack the remote control as an extra.

That's why you'll find that some retailers will include it for free and others don't.

Before we get to the finer points, let me just stress that it's really important that your ride-on car has a parental remote control because it means that you have the ability to take over at any time.

Your child won't always be concentrating and some may not even know that they are in danger (i.e. close to a road or close to a verge). That's when it's really handy for you to take over control if you feel that they may be in danger.

So to reiterate: At RiiRoo THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR RIDE ON CARS come with parental remote control.

Does it matter which colour you buy?

It shouldn't matter what colour you buy. Whether your car comes in red blue or white there should be no reason why and retailer we'll supply you a remote with a red car and not a blue one. But, it's always a good idea to check in the description to see if they mention this.

Since we're talking about colours. The vast majority of online ride on car retailers will price different colours at multiple price points.

This is purely down to demand and how popular a certain colour is. for example, the colour white is generally the most popular colour for most ride on cars and is normally priced higher than the other colours.

It's not always the case that a retailer is trying to make more money. Most of the time they actually pay more for this colour from the manufacturer because most of the factories bulk produce certain colours and only make a small amount of the least popular colours.

Does it matter which brand?

Whether you're buying a BMW or a Mercedes ride-on car it shouldn't matter which type of licensed brand you buy, most of them should come with remote control (unless otherwise stated).

One thing to check though. Many retailers sell licensed and unlicensed versions of these cars.

A licensed car has been approved by the brand to use their styling, badges, stickers, and branding and oftentimes they pay a royalty for each unit produced. Where an unlicensed version is simply a copy or lookalike.

In some cases, the unlicensed version does not come with parental remote control. so double check in the description that it does.

Does it matter if I buy a 6 volt 12 volt or 24 volt?

Not at all. Most retailers will not distinguish between different voltages with regards to supplying a remote control.

What about a 1-seater or 2-seater?

This is a hard one to answer because there are multiple different price points when choosing either a 1-seater or 2 seater ride-on car.

You would normally find a two-seater is a lot more expensive than a one seater. So for example, a lot of retailers won't include an unlicensed one-seater with remote control.

Cheap or more expensive

This one is very similar to the previous point. Generally, the cheaper ride on cars can be classified as unlicensed and don't automatically come with remote control. For this reason, a lot of retailers don't include one.

Do motorbikes come with a remote control?

All of the bikes that we sell here at riiroo DO NOT come with a remote control. However, with that said this is not necessarily the case with other retailers, so like I've said previously, read through the description and just check.

Pairing your remote

The first time you unpack your remote control you will need to pair it with your ride-on car which is normally done via Bluetooth. There are many different ways to do this depending on which car you purchase.

Some of the remotes have a small “p” (pair) button which you hold down and others will instruct you to use another button. if you are unsure which button to use then we advise you to check with the instructions your car came with.

Please note: The car will need to be switched on and you will need to have batteries in the remote in order to pair your remote control to the car.

How easy is it to get a replacement remote control?

If you have purchased a ride-on car from RiiRoo then depending on when you purchased you should be able to get a replacement remote control. However, there are a few things you need to check before you do so because not all remote controls will work with all cars.

So, how do make sure this new remote control is the right fit for your car?

Basically, have a look through our website using the “search function”, compare the pictures with your remote to the one in the image.

If the appearance of the remote control is the same then this remote should be a good fit.

If it wasn't purchased from RiiRoo originally then we can't guarantee that this replacement will work with your car. Unfortunately, not all remote controls and cars are compatible and that's why you should do these checks before you purchase.

If you did happen to purchase your car from RiiRoo, and you don't know whether one of our replacement remote controls will work with your car, then please feel free to give us a call with your name, email address or order number.

One of our technicians should be able to help you find the right one.

Where can I find a replacement?

You can find a replacement Remote control on our spares page: https://riiroo.com/collections/spares. You will also find other useful spare parts there such as batteries etc.

Hi we have been given one of your cars by a neibour who no longer uses it for their child.
The car needed some TLC but I have got it working after some repairs.
There was no manual or detail and no parental remote control, my question is can a remote control be purchased.
